Founder
Hello, I’m Katie Winstanley, founder of The Manor country Spa and Retreat.
Previously a Nurse from the UK - we came out to NZ in the year 2001 with our young family to start a new life.
After nursing here for 5 years a back injury at work, I knew I needed a change, and we had just purchased the old Manor House! Having become disillusioned with conventional medicine I always wanted to run a day spa so that people can escape everyday pressures The Manor seemed the perfect place to realise my dream!
So proud to have created a space that feels so luxurious and welcoming, so you feel like you are on holiday. With wellness at the core. Think: saunas, breathwork, skin and gut health , tailored facials using organic natural ingredients, cold plunge experiences, wellness workshops, and lifestyle support.
Less focus on beauty trends — more on long-term vitality. It’s a place where you come not just for a treatment, but for transformation!

Each day brings something new, which is what makes it so exciting! I’m passionate about keeping everything running smoothly, from day-to-day tasks to working alongside our amazing team and clients.

Awards Sara is our Pure Fiji Ambassador and came second overall in the Pure Fiji therapist of the year awards 2024!
This rare beauty is mature, quiet and compassionate.
Sara absolutely loves massage and facials and creating a journey and environment where you can truly relax and unwind.
Her pregnancy massage is so sought after and makes you feel so special and cared for.
Sara recently trained in Resculpting buccal massage and has really elevated her facial massage and treatments.

Katies Note: Come see our amazing girl Paige if you want fantastic results with all aspects of beauty therapy. She is passionate about brows and is one of the first brow angels to pass through our brow academy. She is also one of the best for French tip Manicures! We do hope to see more of her this year as her 3 children are growing up fast!

We are so thrilled Hollie is doing her Nurse training this year but we will still see her on the floor when ever she has time! Catch her most Saturdays but will need to book in advance!
"I am in my 10th year in the Beauty Industry, also a familiar face to some at The Manor. I am back after 3 years away from The Manor Country Spa & Retreat but I am excited to be returning and seeing some of my amazing clients as well as gaining some new ones.
My main passion in the Beauty Industry is making people feel their best and making sure they are well looked after, the treatments themselves are just a bonus! I enjoy all aspects of beauty, an all-rounder! From the fluffy treatments like facials and massage, the intense skin treatments as well as the pretty things like brows and nails!"

Holly Evans

My name is Holly. I am 21 years old and ready to start my journey at The Manor! I have just completed my Level 5 Diploma in Beauty Therapy at UCOL, as well as completing my Level 4 Certificate in Beauty Therapy last year.
Some of my favourite treatments include facials and massage, but have a love for all things Beauty Therapy!
Outside of the salon, I usually spend my spare time in the gym, or spending time with family and friends.
I feel strongly about listening to clients’ needs, delivering high-quality treatments, and ensuring they feel comfortable, respected, and well-cared for throughout their visit. I’m very excited to build a clientele and create rapport with my clients.

Holly is from a salon background with the family-run hair salon in Greytown Shine so she knows the importance of clients taking time out to make themselves feel good.
